I am soooo excited to finally blog these photos! Craig and I went on vacation to Colorado for a week so I am a little late posting baby James' newborn session. I had the privilege of taking both maternity and newborn photos for this sweet family. This session was a lot of fun and baby James was a fabulous sleeper! I even got to try out a new technique using some back lighting to get the bright high key images you see in the family portraits. Although newborn sessions can still be intimidating and unpredictable, they are quickly becoming my favorite :) I just don't think you can beat the images you get of strong stoic daddy holding his precious fragile baby or mommy cuddling baby in her arms. Absolutely positively priceless
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to work with the same clients over the year. From maternity and newborn shoots to milestones and cake smashes, I absolutely love watching all these sweet babies grow. There is nothing more precious than capturing all of these beautiful families as they develop into their solitary little units filled with so much joy, laughter, and most importantly unconditional love. It is my goal as a photographer is to produce unique timeless images that capture the essence of your family.
I had the honor of taking Harrison's 6 month photos. I was soooo excited when Sam texted me and asked me to take his photos. Sam and her husband, Will, were my very first maternity clients back in October! How cool is that?! This was my first time meeting Harrison since he was in his momma's belly. Their sweet baby boy Harrison couldn't have been cuter. He was a champ and LOVED sitting up in the wooden crate. His little giggles and grins were to die for. I seriously could have snuggled this kid all day---he was even precious when he cried! I dare you to try and not get lost in his soft and expressive brown eyes. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.
When Jenny texted me to ask about taking Miss. E's newborn photos, I was beyond ecstatic. Craig and I used to go to church with Jenny and Joel when we lived down in the city and now that we live in the suburbs, we don't get to see them as much anymore :( We got to spend the whole afternoon catching up, and it was such a wonderful time and made us realize how much we miss them. Jenny and Joel are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and are a lot of fun to be around. When they showed up to our house and I saw those sweet baby cheeks in the car seat, my heart immediately melted. Miss E is going to be a heart-breaker for sure. She was a such a champ for the entire session and literally slept like a baby so I could get her into those super fun baby poses--we even got to try one of the most advanced poses! Baby E is so blessed to have these two as parents and I cannot wait to watch her grow up into a beautiful little girl. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to capture her beautiful delicate little soul, Jenny and Joel!
*Please note, baby safety is my #1 concern. Several of these photos are actually 2 photos combined so that mom always has her hands on baby. Please do not attempt to do these photos with your newborn unless you are trained..*
