Getting to spend time with my family and my husband's family is very precious to me. Although both of our families only live about 4 and a half hours away from us (a huge blessing), it is still challenging to find a time that works with everyone's schedule to get together. It only happens a handful of times a year that we are all under the same roof for a few days and every time we are, I am always sad to see our time come to an end. I don't think I will ever get used to not being able to see my family everyday like I did for 18 years!
We were able to spend 6 full days in Michigan with family and we had a wonderful time playing games, watching home videos (a very favorite past time), visiting with childhood friends, eating lots of delicious food, watching movies, cooking, staying up late talking about life, exchanging gifts, going to church, shopping, and sleeping in! I am so grateful for my family this holiday season and every other season that exists. I just have to share a few photos from the week at home. My MIL requested that we take a few family shots so she could update her photos at work, and I am so glad she did!!! Thanks to my sister-in-law, Jenny, for the recommendation to take photos at this little hidden gem in downtown Howell. I just love the uniqueness of these photos and those hanging lights! Merry {urban} Christmas and Happy New Year !
